Garage & Shed Clearance

Garages are where a household’s history ends up. When it has to go, usually before a conversion, a sale or a new car, the crew clear it in a day and sort it properly.

A garage or shed clearance is heavier than it looks. Timber, tools, bags of hardened cement, tyres, old bikes, paint tins and the boxes that never got unpacked after the last move weigh far more than the same volume of household furniture. The Luton vans have tail-lifts for exactly this.

The crew sort as they go: metal and timber separated for recycling, working tools and bikes set aside if you want them kept or passed on, hazardous items such as paint and chemicals kept apart and taken to the right facility rather than mixed into general waste.

Garage conversions are common across Ealing, Greenford and Northolt, and the clearance is the first job on the builder’s programme. Booking it a few days before the builder arrives keeps the programme on track.

Photos of the garage from the door, with a note of anything hazardous, are enough for a quote.

Where we do it

How disposal works

Sorted, not just taken away

1

Reuse first

Furniture and fittings in good condition are set aside for family, resale or donation before anything is loaded for disposal.

2

Recycle what can be

Metal, timber, cardboard and electricals are kept apart from general waste and taken to facilities that recycle them.

3

Licensed facilities only

What is left goes to licensed waste and recycling facilities. Nothing is left on a verge, and the crew will say up front if an item needs a specialist contractor.

Full dismantle and assemble of a large wooden shed based in Ealing, being delivered and assembled down three bridges canal in Hanwell, London - Carried out by MV Movers

“Dave and his team were absolutely brilliant from the get go. After being messed around by quite a bit from another removal "specialist" in Hanwell, W7. Dave answered and responded to emails that the others failed to do. Due to a few restraints, the team came and assessed the work and provided a quote. They were prompt on arrival and executed the job without any issues. They were very clean and tidy and as a portion had to go through the house, extremely careful. A true delight to use and I would highly recommend. Don't waste your time on anyone else in W3, W4, W5, W7 - These are the best around”

Moved a sofa from garage back into the house

“Dave was quick to respond, and negotiated the price fairly given that I didn't need the van part of the service, and that the job was quick to get done. He kept me informed of any delays and he arrived on time with a smile, and completed it quickly and efficiently. Will use his services again when I need to.”

FAQ

Garage & Shed Clearance: your questions

Can you take paint and chemicals?

Yes, in household quantities. They are kept apart from general waste and taken to a facility that accepts them. Tell Dave what there is when you send photos.

Do you take tyres and car parts?

Yes. Tyres and metal parts are separated for recycling and priced per item where a facility charges for them.

How long does a garage clearance take?

A single garage is usually two to three hours for a two-man crew. Double garages and workshops take longer.

Can you clear a garage before a conversion?

Yes, and it is one of the most common reasons we are booked. Give the builder’s start date and the clearance is scheduled just before it.

Photos first, price second.

Send a few photos of what needs clearing with the floor and the date. Dave replies with a fixed price, usually the same day.
